Rodel completed his first of four Celebrity Alaskan Cruises. He had a successful tour, along with his wife, Sabrina. Sitting at the captain's table for dinner, viewing the glaciers breaking from the captain's quarters, and the filet mignon and lobster dinners were just a few perks garnered from this past trip. As Rodel puts the finishing touches on his Snow White piece, he's looking forward to his next trip coming up very soon.

Rodel is getting ready for his first Alaskan cruise this week. He's currently working on an original Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs piece. All of his Disney originals have been sold. During a recent interview with FilAm Nation, Rodel mentioned he is in the works to set up a foundation to benefit causes in his home country, the Philippines. He will be creating and donating some of his very own artworks to give back to those less fortunate.

An artist's work is never done...especially when you're this talented. Rodel recently returned from another successful Disney cruise, attended his niece's wedding in Calistoga, entertained some relatives from the Philippines, and of course, took in the Pacquiao vs. Hatton bout. And still, he produces some incredible pieces. Hopefully, I can post a few peeks in the coming weeks.

Over the weekend, I got a chance to drop by Rodel's studio. He was taking a break, relaxing, and enjoying some downtime with his son. This was obviously a cherished time, so I didn't stay long. On Easter Sunday, I had a chance to see Rodel perform at his church service. The passion in his worship, the depth of the his family relationships, the way he gives his heart through song and play are all character elements he exudes in his art. Rodel is an amazing artist, who's grounded and grateful for his share of talent.
